Tas gets pre-election Drought Assistance Bus; travelling experts advising farmers

The Australian Government Drought Assistance Bus would be advising farmers in Tasmania in September, reported The Mercury (5/9/2007, p.22).

Bothwell: Corner Patrick Street and Market Place, Monday 10 September 2007, 1.00 pm-4.30 pm.

Hamilton: Hamilton Park car park, River Street, Tuesday 11 September 2007, 9.30 am-4.30 pm.

Campania: Flour Mill Park, Colebrook Main Street (Reeve Street), Wednesday 12 September 2007, 9.30 am-4.30 pm.

Avoca: Outside Avoca Post Office, 16 Falmouth Street, Thursday 13 September 2007, 10.30 am-3.00 pm.

“You’ll be able to speak to a wide range of experts including rural service officers – who know about working on the land – financial counsellors and social workers. If the assistance you’re after is not available, arrangements will be made for someone from the relevant organisation or profession to contact you,” the government statement added.
